Celebration of Native American Indians Day

September 10, 2007

Students of Grade Four enjoyed learning about Native American Indians as they celebrated ARCHAEOLOGY AND NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS DAY!  Students were immersed into experiencing the culture.  Hands on activities and demonstrations filled the afternoon for the children.

Six different Stations were set up for the students to explore!  Experts were called in to share with the students as well.  A special "thank you" goes out to the parent volunteers who also assisted with the special afternoon.

Art, Music, Dance, Archaeology, Geology, Social Studies, Science as well as Indian tools and artifacts were highlighted.  Some students brought their own rocks and artifacts in.  The experts identified the types of rock and gave the approximate age for the artifacts.
