HEART SMART

Students of Grade Four participated in a presentation by Mrs. Cronin of the Cleveland Clinic on the HEART.  As part of our study of the CIRCULATORY SYSTEM, students learned how important it is to take care of one's heart.

Did you know that the first coronary artery bypass operations was performed at the Cleveland Clinic?  Developed and refined at the Cleveland Clinic beginning in 1968, coronary artery bypass has become the most common heart surgery in the world. Today, the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center continues this proud tradition of innovation, helping make the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center the top-ranked heart center in America.
