Welcome to fifth grade!  We are so glad you have joined our crew and hope you are ready for an exciting and action-packed year. Our adventure will include field trips to Shaker Lakes, Western Reserve Historical Society. and possibly Playhouse Square.  We will develop our map reading skills in Social Studies to help guide our way through exploring the New World.  In Science we will discover the various biomes of our world, such as rain forests, deserts, and grasslands.  We will investigate our number system in Math and use our knowledge of math facts to review and build on the four basic operations.  We will call upon Jesus to guide us on our journey as we study the Mass and the seven sacraments.  Finally, we will delve into the word of language as we conquer the parts of speech and read a variety of novels and short stories.  Writing is a vital part of our adventure, so come prepared to express your thoughts and record your experiences and observations on paper along the way!
