November News!

Happy Thanksgiving!

K-012 Scarecrows

In Religion we have been learning about how special we are and what it means to give thanks!  The children identified, discussed, and wrote about the many things that they are thankful for!  Being truly sorry when we have wronged someone can heal both parties involved.

Math

We have been continuing our practice of correctly forming numbers one through 5.  We will move onto numbers 6-10 after Thanksgiving break.

In Phonics we are continuing to work hard on our Letter of the Week activities.  Our letters of focus are Nn, Tt, long Aa, long Ii.  The children are really doing a nice job of identifying the beginning letter sounds in words.  Keep up the great reinforcement of those skills at home!

We had a great time making our own turkeys!

November brings the Works of Mercy.  Kindergarten  studied and prepared writings for thoughtfulness.  Our writing prompt is " I can be thoughtful by...".  Everyone loved discussing and writing and drawing pictures of how they could be thoughtful.
