The low, gray building located a "hop, skip,
and jump" behind Gesu School is the site of the Auxiliary Services.
There, bright, able students are given small group individualized
instruction to increase academic achievement in the regular classroom.
Mrs. Caroline Farrar, the
Speech and Language Pathologist, helps students eliminate articulation
errors, increase communication skills and much more. Our
psychologists, Mrs. Marilyn Goodman and Mrs. Carolyn Wohlgemuth, use
psychological and academic instruments to determine individual
achievement and aptitude. They also counsel children with
emotional concerns. Mrs. Dolores Vicic and Mrs. Ellen Hearns round
off the teaching staff by offering a wide range of academic support
given in small group settings which enhance classroom performance and
increase feelings of self confidence.
More than one hunded and
twenty Gesu students make their way to the modular unit each year where
they receive caring instruction under the watchful eye of a dedicated,
professional staff who are eager and excited to begin another happy and
productive year.
