Students in Grade 3 have a daily Reading class that is taught by one of the three homeroom teachers. They also have a daily English class taught to them by their own homeroom teacher. Language Arts skills are woven carefully into all areas of the curriculum as students continue to develop research skills in the content area subjects. All third grade students have a weekly ZOOM enrichment class which is another opportunity to grow in the area of Language Arts. Every student also meets with Mrs. Maria Bolanz once a week for Spanish class.
The curriculum maps for Reading and English overlap to include the writing, speaking and listening that is done in both subjects. The work done in Spelling class is covered on the curriculum map for English.
