Students in Grade 6 have daily Reading and English classes. During the second semester small groups of students meet with Mrs. Jean Ann Sexton in a seminar setting to explore classic literature from the Junior Great Books Program. The librarian complements the Language Arts program by engaging students in book talks during their weekly library period. Student also meet weekly for Spanish class.
The curriculum maps for Reading and English overlap to include the writing, speaking, and listening that is done in both subjects. The work done in Spelling class is covered on the curriculum map for English.
