Knights of Columbus

Each year the Knights of Columbus award three partial high school scholarships, renewable for four years pending grade point average/conduct, to Gesu eighth grade students as they approach graduation.  The scholarship is named in honor of deceased K of C member Robert J. Blazunas who was a Gesu parishioner, parent, and tireless volunteer with the Knights.

Students must write an essay based on a theme which focuses on being a Catholic citizen in our society today.  Parents also give a brief financial statement and the school administration works with the Knights to decide upon the winners.  The winners are announced at the 8th grade Awards Assembly which is held prior to graduation.
